Look, we get it - nobody really wants to read through legal stuff. But we figured you'd want to know how we handle your info when you're trusting us with your fleet.
Alright, so here's the deal. When you work with us or even just browse around, we might collect a few things:
We're not gonna sell your info to some random marketing company or anything sketchy like that. Here's what we DO use it for:
To actually fix your trucks and keep your fleet running. Kinda the whole point, right? We need your info to schedule appointments, order parts, and get the job done.
Sending you updates about your service, reminding you about maintenance, or answering questions you've sent our way. We won't spam you with junk.
Keeping track of invoices, payments, and service history. Gotta keep the books straight and have records in case there's ever a warranty claim or something.
Looking at patterns to figure out what's working and what ain't. Like if everyone's having the same issue with a certain model, we can stock parts ahead of time.
Sometimes we're required by law to keep certain records, especially for commercial vehicles. We follow all the Canadian regulations - PIPEDA and all that.
Look, we take security pretty seriously around here. Your info is locked down tighter than a torqued lug nut.
All data transmission is encrypted with SSL. That's the padlock you see in your browser when you visit our site.
Our servers are in secure facilities in Canada. No offshore nonsense where who knows what could happen.
Only folks who actually need your info to do their job can access it. Not everyone in the shop can see everything.
We backup everything regularly so if something goes sideways, we're not losing your service history.
We don't just hand out your info to whoever asks. But there ARE a few situations where we might share it:
Sometimes we work with parts suppliers, specialty shops, or diagnostic software companies. They might see relevant info, but only what they need to help us help you. They're bound by their own privacy policies too.
When you pay with a card, that goes through a payment processor. They handle the transaction securely, but yeah, they see your payment info. We don't actually store full card numbers ourselves.
If the law says we gotta hand over info - like a court order or regulatory inspection - we have to comply. We'd fight it if it seemed sketchy, but we're not gonna break the law for anyone.
If we ever sold the business or merged with another shop (not planning on it, but you never know), your info would transfer to the new owners. They'd have to follow this same privacy policy though.
It's YOUR info, so you've got some say in what happens with it. Here's what you can do:
Want to see what we've got on file? Just ask. We'll get you a copy of your personal and vehicle info. Might take a few days to pull it all together, but it's yours.
If something's wrong - wrong phone number, outdated address, whatever - let us know and we'll fix it. We want accurate records too.
Want us to delete your info? We can do that, but there's a catch - we gotta keep some stuff for legal reasons (like tax records). But personal marketing info? Gone.
Don't want promotional emails or texts? No problem. You can unsubscribe anytime. We'll still need to contact you about actual service stuff though.
Need your service records for another shop or insurance? We'll give you everything in a format you can actually use. No funny business.
Just shoot us an email at service@voidcarionstronghold.info or give us a call at (604) 555-7823. We'll need to verify it's actually you (for security reasons), but then we'll take care of it.
Response time is usually within 30 days, as required by PIPEDA.
Yeah, we use cookies. Not the edible kind (though there's usually some of those in the break room). Here's the tech version:
These keep the website functioning. Like remembering you're logged in or what's in your quote request. Can't really turn these off without breaking stuff.
We use these to see how people use the site - which pages get the most traffic, where folks are getting stuck, that kind of thing. Helps us make the site better. We use Google Analytics, and it's anonymized.
These remember your preferences, like if you've filled out a contact form before. Makes things smoother for return visits.
Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. You can block 'em, delete 'em, whatever. Just know that some features might not work right if you do. Here's how:
Some browsers have a "Do Not Track" setting. Honestly, there's no standard for how that works yet, but we respect the intent. We keep our tracking pretty minimal anyway.
If you've got questions about this privacy policy or how we handle your info, don't hesitate to reach out. We'd rather you ask than worry about it.
